Dr. Shabnam Farid

Optometrist

Dr. Farid received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from York University, in Toronto, followed by her optometry degree at Aston University, UK. She is a proud member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. Alongside working as an optometrist, Dr.Farid devoted her time to being the lead clinical supervisor for prospering optometry students in Bournemouth, UK. After a few years of practice, Dr.Farid decided to continue her practice in Toronto where she accomplished the Bridging Program at the University of Waterloo, obtaining her license in Ontario. During the Bridging program, Dr. Farid completed an internship at Clarity Eye Institute and decided to work as a technician before fully becoming a registered optometrist in Ontario. Within this experience, Dr. Farid collaborated with renowned ophthalmologists and expand her knowledge in the field. Dr. Farid’s passion goes beyond the general eye, as she is keen on dry eyes and pediatric optometry. As Dr.Farid is an avid member of the multicultural integrity of the city of Toronto, she is equipped to cater to patients in English and in Farsi.
